In 2009 the Autism Act was passed as the first piece of disability specific legislation in the UK. In 2010 Rewarding and Fulfilling Lives – the implementation strategy from the Act was published.
The early warning signs of Autism are:
‘Asperger syndrome’ refers to the group of individuals who have no obvious language problems and are intellectually capable or even exceptionally bright, but are still inflexible, struggling to interact socially and communicate effectively.
Autism is a lifelong developmental disability that affects how the brain processes information and the way a person communicates with, and relates to, other individuals and the world around them.
